First of all, let me say this was a little unintentional. I went to Aldi supermarket today with a simple plan....get a spiral cut ham for Thanksgiving Day Dinner. As usual, I was impressed with many of Aldi's items and bought more than just a ham. I got home and started to put my groceries and items away and realized, i had bought an entire Thanksgiving dinner without even realizing it. I just had to share when I sat down and figured that this entire meal only costs me $43.26 plus some time and preparation. So here's a list of items I bought at Aldi and included in the $43.26 figure. (not including beverages) I didn't manage to capture them all in the picture, but know they are in that dollar amount.
A final side note is that you would still need to provide items like, butter, spices, coffee, etc. I realize that, but this is a great start and you can still manage to keep the total costs below $50 which is what some sites are quoting for the meal.
Also keep in mind, this would be enough food for my family of 8.
